Dr. Gillard Becomes a Lead Published Author in a Well-Respected, International Spine Journal

This study answered this important question: If you need a lumbar interbody fusion, does the fact that you've had a prior surgery worsen your chances for a good clinical outcome?

The results, which were counterintuitive, indicate no. In other words, even if you've had a prior surgery (like a discectomy), you have just as good of chance for a good clinical outcome as a patient who has not had prior surgery.
